Youngest President of the North Wales Magic Circle

A magician from Anglesey has been elected by his peers to be the youngest ever President of the North Wales Magic Circle. Paul Eds, who hails from Bala originally but has lived in Bull Bay on Anglesey for the past 6 years has been a magician since he was 7 years old, although slightly older these days at 33 years old!

Paul specialises in what is called close up magic, performing his sophisticated magic at conferences, trade shows and banquets. Paul stresses that he does not perform Children's shows, concentrating instead on entertaining, amusing, and mystifying adult audiences with his skills.

Paul says 'it is indeed an honour and privilege to be elected as President by my peers in the Circle. Magic is currently enjoying huge popularity once again with the public, and I hope to capitalise on this during my presidential year - in attracting new members into the Circle'

It has been a busy time of late for Paul, he has recently completed a short series of 5, 5 minute programmes, entitled 'Hud Stryd' to be shown on S4C over the Christmas period. Also, he has been involved in the filming of a documentary about magic societies - and the North Wales Magic Circle in particular - which is to be broadcast on S4C early in the New Year.

However, the biggest trick for Paul is how he juggles all of his duties and responsibilities. As well as being a magician, he is also E-Learning Manager at Coleg Menai, Bangor, and father to 2 young children, Catrin and Bedwyr. How does he do it? "It's a secret!" replies Paul quickly.
